Swap-bot

Swap-bot is one of my all time favorite websites. It is a site where people get together to swap things. Most of the time it is handcrafted items but some people prefer to swap store bought items as well. It's a lot of fun because you can swap with people from all over the world. I joined Swap-bot on May 1st, 2007, and I have participated in 96 swaps. If you decide to try out the site I would recommend checking out the Forums there. You can meet many people and you can also find out who to avoid. Sadly there are "flakers" there too; a flaker is someone who is supposed to send out their items but never does thus causing someone else to have sent out items but get nothing in return. Thankfully flakers cannot stick around for too long though because Swap-bot has a rating system in place, when you receive a swap you are supposed to rate your partner and that way when someone flakes on you they get low ratings and then they can no longer join swaps. They also have groups on Swap-bot now (it's a pretty new feature to the site). They have groups for all kinds of people and they are based on anything from interests, to age, to region, to religion. I also really like the owners of the site because they are always making improvements, they really care about the site and it shows. You can find a link to Swap-bot under my favorite websites category. Also here's the link to my Swap-bot profile: http://www.swap-bot.com/user:Lucky12324

You are extremely sweet, Kelly! Thank you for spreading the word about Swap-bot. I am glad you have fun with it. We really do like administering the site because there are so many awesome members, like yo!

I haven't been a member of Swap-bot for very long, but I'll agree that the care that goes into the site really shows.

So many other great sites are ruined by bad users or gratuitous ads/sponsorships... or sometimes absent owners. Swap-bot really seems to be sticking to it's guns.

Definitely a fun hobby.
