Internet Relationships

It seems that in today's fast paced society the internet has become the best way to meet new people. There are many websites where people can forge different kinds of relationships with others. I have seen people ask these questions more than once however, "Are internet relationships "real" relationships?"; "Can you be as close with someone over the internet as you are with someone you know in person?"

I'd like to open these questions up to my readers. Tell me your opinion, tell me what you think! :-)

Depending on what kind of "relationship" ie. dating, friend etc., I think you can develop some sort of friendship, but if there is one or more red flags, I would truly question the integrity of that other person. I have met some really nice people online and I only consider about 10 of them true friends. I have been dealt the "drama" card once and I should have listened to my gut. This hit way too close to home and I will never for a "sympathy" card again for anyone where there are red flags. Just my 2 cents. :o)

It depends on what you are looking for. I met my husband on the net and we'll be married 9 years in October. You just have to go with your gut. After any amount of time you'll know who's real and who isn't. Luckily I had a happy ending!
